How the numbers are worked out
The upgrade cost is the monthly difference between each client's current plan and Plus, at Intuit's US list prices (October 2026):

With the ProAdvisor box ticked, the upgrade cost is 30% lower, as when the firm pays for the subscriptions through Intuit's ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing and bills them back. The default mix (35% Essentials, 5% Simple Start) is the mix at Marketium, the accounting firm Nexora Recon was built with.
The Nexora Recon figure is $19 per client company per month with a 10-company minimum. It checks each client's bank and card statements against QuickBooks Online the same way on every plan, so it doesn't depend on any client upgrading. It isn't a replacement for everything Plus adds (inventory, projects, more users); this calculator only compares the cost of getting statement reconciliation for every client.

Frequently asked questions
Does my firm's QuickBooks plan cover my clients?
No. Each client company file has its own QuickBooks Online plan. A firm's own subscription, or QuickBooks Online Accountant, doesn't upgrade the client files it manages.
Which QuickBooks Online plans have the AI-powered reconcile?
Plus and Advanced (and Intuit Enterprise Suite). Simple Start and Essentials don't have it, so clients on those plans need an upgrade to get it.
What does the ProAdvisor discount change?
Intuit's ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing takes 30% off when the firm pays for the client's subscription and bills it back. Tick the box in the calculator to see the upgrade cost at that price.
How is the Nexora Recon figure worked out?
$19 per client company per month, with a 10-company minimum ($190/month). It works the same on every QuickBooks Online plan, so no client needs an upgrade for it.
